St. Francis Soup Kitchen

Christ Child parish provides outreach for those in need in our mountain community and the Santa Cruz area.  

The Holy Cross chapter of St. Vincent de Paul Society has an ongoing need for nutritious food such as peanut butter, beans,  tuna, canned meats, and other wholesome foods.  There is a particular need for new socks, underwear, diapers (sizes 3 and 4) and other specific items that are listed on the contribution baskets.  

The St. Francis Soup Kitchen serves lunch Monday through Friday to Santa Cruz people in need. We learned that our recent donation of $76 served 70 meals. The facility includes a "Clothes Closet" which provides clothing for men and women.  It also provides a place for homeless people to shower.

 Please leave your regular contribution (weekly if possible)  in the baskets which are in the church lobby.
